Charles I "Newark Besieged" 9 Pence 1646 AU55 NGC, KM369.1, S-3144, North-2641 (R). 4.31gm. This fascinating and historically important Klippe-style coinage are a rare treat in high-grade. The 9 Pence denomination, in particular, seems hard to find undamaged and in choice shape. The strike is slightly off-center but there are practically no areas of the strike that are weak, something that is highly unusual for this issue.
