Description

Louis Philippe "Tête nue Grand palmier" 5 Francs 1831-MA MS64 PCGS, Marseille mint, KM735.10, Gad-676. Type w/ palm tree privy on reverse. A visually superior near-Gem example of this Louis Philippe Crown-type emission from the Marseille mint. Brilliant, icy luster reverberates about the silky-smooth flan, intermingling with pearl-silver and ice-blue tones in the centers, and champagne hues towards the rims. The highest graded PCGS by a full two points. HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
