Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1811 So-FJ MS62 NGC, Santiago mint, KM75, Cal-1403. Admiral Bust type. A sought-after imaginary bust issue, displaying crisp devices and semi-reflective lustrous fields. The 1810 and 1811 "military" types differ from the similar issues of 1808 and 1809, due to the addition of a laureate wreath to crown Ferdinand's head. Regardless of this difference, all four dates are quite challenging to locate in better uncirculated states. The piece at hand is tied for the third finest grade recorded by the major grading companies and we expect bidding activity commensurate with that fact. Ex.
