Description

Confederation gold Specimen 100 Francs 1925-B SP64 NGC, Bern mint, KM39, Fr-502, HMZ-2-1193a. Mintage: 5,000 (recorded for business strikes). An indisputable key of the 20th-century Swiss Confederation and the only year that this beloved design saw production in this size. To top the issue's rarity itself, this piece is way more exclusive as being a presentation Specimen and not the business strike. The presentation purposes are clear by both the precise strike and carefully prepared planchet. Exquisite watery fields fill the peripheries contrasting with the sculptured motifs, fully satin and crisp. This admirable piece keeps delivering since on top of rarity it presents conditional excellence: the sole finest between a mere three Specimen examples recorded by NGC and PCGS combined. An unparalleled offering, and one of which is apparently the first to reach the market in recent decades. HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
