Description

Vittorio Emanuele III gold 20 Lire 1902-R MS61 PCGS, Rome mint, KM37.1, Gig-25 (R4), Pag-662 (R3). Mintage: 181. Variety without anchor. A bona fide rarity in Italian numismatics as evidenced by the published data as well as the dearth of certified examples. Scattered friction streaks are hardly visible to the naked eye and are overshadowed by the attractively mottled olive and russet toning that graces the open spaces surrounding the devices. The combination of rarity and beauty should place this specimen into the most prestigious of Italian collections. HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
