Description

Saxony. Georg Proof 5 Mark 1904-E PR64 PCGS, Muldenhutten mint, KM1258, J-130. Mintage of the 1903-E dated Proofs is reported as 50 pieces, but neither Krause or Jaeger mention the mintage for 1904. Facing up with a constellation of eye-catching reflectivity and cartwheeling shimmer of the fields providing a contrasting backdrop for the lavishly frosted designs. A very rare piece in this exalted state, and presently the sole graded example across the two services. Ex.
