Alexander I silver "Napoleon - Peace of Tilsit" Medal 1807-Dated MS64 NGC, Diakov-312.4 (R3), Br-647. 41mm. Laureate head of Napoleon left, "d" on truncation, rev. Napoleon, holding a sword entwined with olive, and Tsar Alexander I holding scales, standing holding globe between them, Fame above, lion holding shield between them. This current selection is a highly elusive silver Napoleonic medal, seemingly German made, that is much more often seen in base metal, and even those are scarce. Exhibiting impeccable cabinet patina with much colorful iridescent gloss. This is the only example certified by NGC, and given it's lofty Mint State evaluation, is unlikely to be surpassed any time soon. HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
