From the French province of Béarn, an intriguing emission where the last digit of the date is all but obliterated, yet leaving sufficient evidence of the 7 underneath an 8. Copious adjustment marks noted on both facets; regardless, the strike has been boldly executed and the undisputable, generous luster confirms the Mint State designation.
