Cnaeus Pompeius Junior (46-45 BC). AR denarius (21mm, 3.88 gm, 7h). NGC MS 4/5 - 3/5. Uncertain mint in Spain (Corduba), ca. summer 46 BC-spring 45 BC. M•POBLICI•LEO•-PRO•PR (sic), helmeted head of Roma right; bead-and-reel border / CN•MAGNVS•IMP, Hispania or Baetica (on left), standing right, shield over back, two transverse spears in left hand, presenting palm with long stem in right to Pompey (on right), standing left on large prow. Crawford 469/1a. Sydenham 1035. Poblicia 10 and Pompeia 9. Struck on bright flan with subdued luster on reverse. Note - obverse legend should read LEG, not LEO.
