PAX, across field and between two lines, surrounded by EDÞINE ON LVNDI. Sold with five tray tags. Harold II was famously killed in the Battle of Hastings after a short reign of 10 months. He was the 'last English king', as the accession of William the Conqueror, the Duke of Normandy to the English throne on 25th December, 1066 as King William I ended the Anglo-Saxon phase of English history.
