BITHYNIA. Cius. Ca. 280-250 BC. AR tetradrachm (31mm, 16.77 gm, 11h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 2/5. In the name and type of Lysimachus (AD 306-281 BC), after 281 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon; dotted border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike crowning royal name in right hand, left arm leaning on large shield with lion head boss, transverse reversed spear in background; club downward in outer left field, ΠA monogram in inner left field, bow in bowcase left and ΔIΩ monogram below. Müller 410. Wonderfully artistic dies, boldly struck on toned flan. This coin has a very handsome portrait of Alexander the Great.
