Nicholas I copper Proof Pattern 2 Kopecks 1840-CПБ PR63 Red and Brown NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-Pn105, Bit-H931 (R2), Brekke-165 (Rare). Obv. Crowned monogram. Rev. Date and value, with small C.П.Б. below. A handsome, expertly struck offering with only the lightest degree of scattered marks. The obverse reveals an ice-blue hue when viewed at an angle, whereas the reverse is elevated to an even higher visual appeal by cobalt and purple undertones.
