Republic gold 100 Soles 1969 MS66 NGC, Lima mint, KM231, Fr-78. Reported Mintage: 540. A beautiful example from this late date in the series, arguably deserving of a Prooflike designation as the fields flash eagerly in hand. An overall lack of tone allows the rose-tint of the flan to be fully appreciated, along with the pinpoint precision of the strike. Affordable here, as the NGC census plummets in finer grades.
