Description

Saxony. Friedrich August III Taler 1806-SGH MS66 NGC, Dresden mint, KM1027.2, Dav-856, Thun-291. Bare bust variety. Essentially unfathomable quality for what is already a type generally encountered in higher tiers of preservation, yet here practically as struck from fresh dies. Relinquishing an all-encompassing peach aura amidst cascading mint luster that fully contribute to a superior visual caliber. The piece at hand stands at the conditional peak of not only this date, but most issues of Saxony origin of this vintage and will be among the top lots for this session. Ex.
