Zog I gold "Royal Wedding" 100 Franga Ari 1938-R MS65 PCGS, Rome mint, KM23, Fr-13, Mont-11 (R). Mintage: 500. Struck for the marriage of King Zog to Countess Geraldine Apponyi on April 27, 1938. The finest of this type we have encountered, certified at the peak of the PCGS census, with only 2 examples at NGC ranking higher. Strobing luster imbues the surfaces with a semi-Prooflike reflectivity, heightening the showmanship of this Medallic issue. The strike rendered only the most precise devices, their execution pushed to the forefront of observation due to a lack of tone. All in all, a spectacular specimen.
