Prussia. Friedrich Wilhelm IV "Mining" Taler 1843-A MS64+ PCGS, Berlin mint, KM445, Dav-770, Thun-257. A conditionally difficult "Mining" Taler date where fractional and double Talers are much more frequently encountered, a fact confirmed by a sheer paucity of occupants at either grading service, this being the lone survivor. A quick survey of auction records corroborates the rarity of this date and type in anything appreciable, let alone Mint State. A gentle flash occupies the glasslike recesses, laying host to light underglow of peach and lavender tone. From the Cape Coral Collection, Part II
