CARIAN SATRAPS. Hidrieus (ca. 351-344 BC). AR tetradrachm (22mm, 15.15 gm, 12h). NGC VF 4/5 - 4/5. Laureate, draped bust of Apollo, facing slightly right / IΔPIEΩΣ, Zeus Labraundus standing right, lotus tipped scepter in left hand, bipennis raised in right. SNG Copenhagen Suppl. 340. SNG von Aulock Suppl. 8046. The Hecatomnid dynasty was founded under Hecatomnus in the early 4th century who introduced a new series of coinage featuring the beloved statue of Zeus from the temple at Labraunda.
