China Bank of China 1 Yuan 1939 Pick 81As S/M#C294 Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. The three denomination from the 1939 series for the Bank of China were never issued. Only Specimen and Proofs exist for this series of three denominations, all of which feature a portrait of Liao Chung-kai on the front. A rarely seen design with only twenty-eight examples registered in the PMG Population Report. This type is very desirable in and presents with typical hole punched cancellations and red overprints.
