Description
Republic gold 8 Escudos 1839 Do-RM MS63 NGC, Durango mint, KM383.3, Fr-68. This might be the most common year of issue for this mint, but in Choice Mint State this specimen is an outlier, presently bested by only two examples in the NGC census. The current offering exudes confident, satiny sheen, with only small spots of copper tone unsettling the reverse thus evidencing the originality of this piece.
