Description

Anne silver Specimen "Peace of Utrecht" Medal ND (1713) SP64 PCGS, Amsterdam mint, MI-II-404/265. By D. de Wys. On the obverse the winged Time, with his serpent ring and scythe, symbolizing a lasting peace. On the reverse Mercury seated and holding a bag of money which he is about to store in a chest, watching two men forging a plowshare out of armor and other implements of war. Glossy in slate patination, with vivid hues of cornflower filling the recesses. Comes with an old dealer ticket.
