Charles III gold 8 Escudos 1766 NR-JV AU55 NGC, Nuevo Reino mint, KM41, Cal-2085. A popular and elusive "Rat Nose" issue that displays antique toning to the imperial yellow planchet and sharp motifs, apart from some centralized softness. We were only able to locate half a dozen examples auctioned in the last 20 years, attesting to the allure and rarity of this offering.
