PTOLEMAIC EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor, Second Reign (180-145 BC). AR stater or tetradrachm (26mm, 13.64 gm, 11h). NGC MS 5/5 - 2/5. Alexandria, ca. 169-145 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, aegis tied around neck; dotted border / ΠTOΛEMAIOY-BAΣIΛEΩΣ, eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; dotted border. Svoronos 1489 (Joint reign of Ptolemy VI and Ptolemy VIII). SNG Copenhagen 262-268. Solidly struck and excellently centered on satiny flan.
