CALABRIA. Tarentum. Ca. 281-240 BC. AR stater or didrachm (21mm, 6.35 gm, 6h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 3/5, scratches. Nude youth on horseback right, crowning horse with left foreleg raised; EY above, ΑΠΟΛΛΩ above two amphorae below horse / ΤΑΡΑΣ, Taras riding dolphin left, cantharus in right hand, cradling long trident in left; ΘI below arm, B in right field. Vlasto 764. SNG ANS 1118. Rare, only six examples in sale archives.
