George V Proof "Waitangi" Crown 1935 PR65 PCGS, KM6, Dav-433. Mintage: 468. Struck to commemorate the Treaty of Waitangi, the accord signed in 1840 between representatives of Britain and Maori chiefs of the North Island of New Zealand. This gem is dressed in pondlike, stone-gray surfaces that are dappled faintly with russet tone, a palette echoed on the peripheries. Devoid of distraction, the intricacies of the design beckon.
