This lot includes three Proofs of the 1 Pound printed by ABNCo for the Bank Leumi Le-Israel B.M. All three examples are uniface and cancelled with two punch holes. This lot provides an interesting insight into the printing process of banknotes. It is instructive to note that the black and white schemes were not those used in actual production (olive and pink) suggesting these are ABNCo die proofs for purposes such as checking press pressures and the like.
