LOWER DANUBE. Imitating Thasos. Ca. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (36mm, 11h). ANACS VF 35. Head of Dionysus right, crowned with ivy, wearing mitra / ΗΡΑΚΛΕΟΥΣ / ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΘΑΣΙΩΝ (corrupted, with pellets forming each letter), Heracles standing facing, head left, lion skin made of pellets in left hand, resting right hand on club covered in pellets.
