Gustav II Adolf Medallic Piefort 1/2 Riksdaler 1632-Dated AU55 NGC, Hildebrand-I-pg. 189, 183. 14.55gm. A Piefort issue struck honoring the Death of Swedish King Gustav Adolph in a battle near Lutzen in 1632. It is unknown if the type was issued in 1632, after the death, or in 1634, when the funeral was finally held after the completion of his mortuary monument. Presenting evenly-rendered motifs and lustrous recesses, this gunmetal toned piece stands as the sole piece graded by NGC. Ex. Baronial Collection Bonde
