Description

Sicily. Ferdinando III Oncia (30 Tari) 1793 Nd-OV MS64 NGC, Palermo mint, KM227, Dav-1422. 68.12gm. Nicola d'Orgemont Vigevi as mintmaster. An astonishing survivor of this large type, exhibiting near-gem surfaces occupied by a subtle dove tone, handsomely framing the chiseled and fully rendered motifs. Probably kept as a collection piece for centuries, this wonderful specimen stands as the sole finest graded by either NGC or PCGS.
