Bavaria. Ludwig I "Statue of Bishop Julius Echter" 2 Taler 1847 MS63 PCGS, Munich mint, KM823, Dav-596, AKS-110, Thun-87. Commemorating the erection of the statue to Prince Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn. Provocative toning draws the eye from deeply toned rims towards steely centers of superb remnant detailing. Bursts of cerulean on the obverse compliment the gun-metal toning on the rest of the surfaces.
