Description

George VI gold Proof 5 Pounds 1937 PR66 Cameo PCGS, KM861, Fr-409, S-4074, W&R-435. Mintage: 5,500. A highly respectable representation of this pleasing type, which leaves an impression of visual balance and quality that render this offering an immensely collectible example. A full strike lends a complete and deep outline to George VI's distinct bust resulting in near-medallic features that project boldly towards the viewer, while pondlike fields beneath wholly lend themselves to a notable cameo contrast, as confirmed by PCGS graders. As such, this presentable offering is expected find itself a fitting contender for any high-end collection of British gold.
