JUDAEA. Titus, as Caesar (AD 79-81). AR denarius (17mm, 3.33 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU S 4/5 - 4/5. Judaea Capta issue. Antioch, ca. AD 72-73. T CAES IMP VESP PON TR POT, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Titus right, with slight beard, seen from behind / Palm tree in center, Titus (on left) standing right, grounded spear in right hand, parazonium in left, left foot on helmet, Jewess (on right) seated right in attitude of mourning. RIC II.1 (Vespasian) 1562. GBC 5, 1492. GBC 6, 6522. Nicely struck with areas of warm peach toning. From the New England Collection
