Description

Saxony. Friedrich August I gold 2 Ducat 1697 AU53 NGC, Dresden mint, KM699, Fr-2826. 6.87gm. Struck to commemorate the coronation of Friedrich August I as August II of Poland. A wonderful and deeply patinated example, having developed a most pleasing honeyed surface likely through placement in an advanced cabinet and distinguished by the presence of only the most minor handling noted to the highest points of the horse and rider. A covetable rendition of this coronation issue.
