Description

Ferdinand VI gold 8 Escudos 1751 So-J MS62 NGC, Santiago mint, KM3, Cal-824, Onza-644. This example makes a strong first impression with bright honey-gold coloration and clear fields, apart from miniscule die cracks on the reverse. The devices are almost fully defined at the center of the flan, a region that tends to be weakly struck for this type. Untoned but for a small caramel crescent emerging to the left of the King's bust.
