Description

Elizabeth II platinum Proof Unofficial Uniface "National Parks" 100 Dollars 1985 PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS, KM144 var. 16.73gm. 90% Pt; 10% Rh. A highly intriguing curiosity in a series we've offered over the last few years with increasingly dramatic variety, including three double-struck, two die cap brockages, and a single copper uniface issue for this very same commemorative. Possibly the product of a bored mint worker or one conducting test strikings in various metal, here seen in a platinum/rhodium alloy. Regardless, the piece remains fascinating and conditionally advanced, lending to a wholly successful rendering on this seemingly unique planchet.
