Hesse-Cassel. Wilhelm IX "Mining" Taler 1794-FH MS65 NGC, Hanau mint, KM532, Dav-2305, Schön-53 (under Hanau-Münzenberg), Müseler-554, Hoffmeister-2690, Schütz-2140. Celebrating the yield of the Bieberer Mines. Outstripping the next finest at both NGC and PCGS by a full 2 grade points, this typically crudely produced Taler eludes all attempts for an adequate comparison. Admittedly showing the usual "roughness" and trace rust from the dies, this specimen stands as a testament to what is very likely the best quality they could produce, die polish occurring in a pronounced fashion throughout the fields, all while a combination of pervasive luster and strong amber toning accents create a pull-away effect at the legends.
