Description

Frankfurt. Free City Taler 1776-BN MS65 PCGS, Frankfurt am Main mint, KM256, Dav-2227, Schön-91, Joseph/Fellner-890. Struck to commemorate the opening of the bridge at Hausen. For all intents and purposes, as fine a specimen as one could ever hope to encounter, boasting what is a flawless display of civic imagery on a subtly mottled salt-gray flan. With and without magnification, the viewer is struck by just how precise the details are on the whole, expressing hardly the least trace of either weakness or flaws. By far the highest quality selection we have ever offered, and likely the finest available to collectors. Ex. Dr. Busso Peus Nachfolger Auction 391 (May 2007, Lot 2087) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
