Description

Eichstätt - Bishopric. Johann Anton II Taler 1755-ML MS65 NGC, Nürnberg mint, KM73, Dav-2207, Schön-13 (this coin), Gebert-85. An advanced cabinet piece likely having been tucked away or lost to time soon after production, as confirmed by the clearly advanced state of preservation and wholly enchanting patina. The product of a skilled engraver with each meticulous detail embossed upon the canvas, with even the textured robes of Johann Anton II clearly visible from a distance and enveloped in a gracious yet subtle lavender hue. An always collectible, single-year issue witnessed at auction one every year or so, and as the finest currently certified, is expected to land in a distinguished collection. Ex.
