Description

Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Rudolf August & Anton Ulrich Taler 1699-RB MS64 PCGS, Goslar or Zellerfeld mint, KM577, Dav-6395, Knyphausen-675, Welter-2066. The finest example yet certified at either grading service for this penultimate date for the type, with its general eye appeal and surface quality placing it very much on the cusp of choice. Containing a splendid subdued cabinet tone that is considerably lightened by a pervasive underlying luster, it is particularly notable that we have offered only a single representative of this date previously, which was a mere VF35.
