Description

Bavaria. Maximilian II "Exhibition" 2 Taler 1854 MS63 Prooflike NGC, Munich mint, KM845.2, Dav-603, AKS-166, Thun-95. Variety with CONVENTION VOM 30 JULY 1838 on edge. Commemorating the exhibition of German products in the Glass Palace. A lone survivor recognized for its Prooflike characteristics in the NGC census, with just two others similarly certified at PCGS. Entirely reflective even from an arm's length, the whole of the piece is sleek and glassy, those few wisps which bound the grade hardly keeping the coin from what is exceptional eye appeal for its certification. Ex. Johann Max Böttcher Collection (Harald Möller Auction 42, November-December 2006, Lot 319) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
