Description

Bavaria. Ludwig I Taler 1832 MS65 PCGS, Munich mint, KM751, Dav-565, AKS-76, Thun-48. A visually stunning gem Kronentaler that stands unsurpassed within the certified population, propelling this second most prolific date for the type to a special position of prominence. Abounding in cartwheel luster even from a minor tilt, even slate patination bathes the fields, lit from behind by champagne hues that become almost amber along the outlines of the devices. A beautiful coin, worthy of close consideration. Ex. Heritage Auction #3024 (April 2013, Lot 23983) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
