Baden. Leopold I 2 Gulden 1850 MS66 NGC, Karlsruhe mint, KM222, Dav-527, AKS-91, Thun-27. Possessing a denim-blue hue to the silver which, remarkably, does not overly darken the surfaces, this specimen constitutes the center point of a phenomenal run of MS66-graded Baden Doppelgulden of Leopold's reign. Much like the others, no specimen has presently been certified finer than this for the date, with a peak level of luster and micro-fine surface stippling attesting to its technical superiority. Ex. Johann Max Böttcher Collection (Harald Möller Auction 42, November-December 2006, Lot 114) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
