Constantinople Commemorative (ca. AD 330-340). AE3 or BI nummus (17mm, 2.41 gm, 6h). NGC AU 2/5 - 4/5, overstruck on reverse brockage. Uncertain mint, AD 330-331, struck under Constantine I to commemorate the moving of the Roman capitol from Rome to Constantinople. VRBS-ROMA, helmeted bust of Constantinopolis left, wearing imperial cloak / Brockage of obverse; overstruck with She-wolf standing left, looking back, suckling twins Romulus and Remus.
