Description

Szechuan. Hsüan-t'ung 50 Cents ND (1909-1911) VF Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Chengdu mint, KM-Y242.1, L&M-353, Kann-151a, WS-0748. Inverted "A" in place of "V" in PROVINCE. Only the third example of this highly scarce minor we have ever offered, and the first in 6 years, with the coin most commonly known in Fine and poorer states. To date, PCGS's census records that the highest grade they have yet seen for the type being an AU55, with an XF40 hammering for $20,000 in March 2019. Despite the noted cleaned, the offering has pleasantly retoned, honest highpoint wear hardly obscuring that this is a very nice example for the issue. From the Glorium Collection
