Commemorating Tuan Chi-jui's taking office as the provisional Chief Executive of the Republic of China while abolishing the presidency, and the attempted peaceful unification of China during a tumultuous time of political upheaval. Relatively challenging as a type in all grades, and one which, when encountered, is rarely located with a finer quality portrait than seen here, elevated by light peach silhouettes having developed after an earlier cleaning. Highly attractive for the type and sure to entice collectors of this series.
