Yunnan. Republic T'ang Chi-yao gold 5 Dollars ND (1919) MS62 PCGS, Kunming mint, KM-Y481, L&M-1058, Kann-1527, Shih-A7-3, WS-0653 (1920). Variety with "2" beneath tassels on flags. Remarkably a second representative of this issue with poor survivorship, yet here seen in enviable preservation. Bathed in honey gold color with only slightly muted cartwheel luster than careens around the surfaces, the coin at hand generally affords little grounds for complaint, an especially satin finish captured in the protected regions around the characters in the margins. For the sake of completeness, we not a tiny area of die clashing detectable around the General's nose.
