Description

Chihli. Kuang-hsü Dollar Year 29 (1903) MS61 NGC, Pei Yang Arsenal mint, KM-Y73, L&M-462, Kann-205c, Chang-CH14, WS-0632. Variety with period after YANG. Among the true conditional rarities of the standard dragon Dollar coinage, collectors of the series will instantly recognize just how challenging this type is to locate in firmly Mint State grades. Indeed, less than 3% of the certified population across NGC and PCGS presently certifies finer, with the latter company's census not providing a breakdown between the two period varieties for the issue. Certainly the nicest example of this variety that we have had the privilege to offer, and a coin which gauges as comparatively "problem-free" for the series.
