Aelia Pulcheria, Eastern Roman Empire (AD 414-453). AR siliqua (17mm, 1.55 gm, 6h). NGC AU 4/5 - 2/5, scratches. Constantinople, ca. AD 420-429. AEL PVLCH-ERIA AVG, pearl-diademed, draped bust of Aelia Pulcheria right, seen from front, wearing necklace and earring, hair elaborately weaved with long plait up the back of head and tucked under diadem / Cross within wreath terminating in large jewel; CONS star below. RIC X (Theodosius II) 383 and Plate 17.
