Republic 100 Reis 1889 MS64 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM492, LMB-36. The First Brazilian Republic started in November 15th, 1889, making this the first year of issue. A more attainable date with the highest mintage of the series (perhaps due to the implementation of Republican coins) but seldom-seen this nice, showcasing highly lustrous and crisp peripheries, abundant in cartwheel luster.
