João Pair of Certified 960 Reis AU58 NGC, 1) 960 Reis 1815-B - AU58, KM307.1, LMB-400. Overstruck on a colonial 8 Reales. 2) 960 Reis 1820-B - AU58, KM326.2, LMB-462c (Reverse from Rio variety). Overstruck on a Mexico 8 Reales 1808 Mo-TH. Both from the Bahia mint, one from the colonial period with João as a Prince Regent and the second struck during João VI's United Reign. Well-struck and bearing lovely cabinet tones, the 1820 having the reverse die from the Rio de Janeiro mint. Sold as is, no returns.
