ANT•AVG / III•VIR•R•P•C, war galley under oar right with triple ram prow and scepter tied with fillet / LEG-XXII, aquila between two standards. Crawford 544/38. Sydenham 1245. The legion likely represented on this coin was Legio XXII Deiotariana, which was founded ca. 48 BC and disbanded during the Bar Kochba Revolt of AD 132-135. It was named after the Celtic Galatian king Deiotarus.
